When the furnace will not light on a cold January night or the AC quits on a hot August afternoon, the cause is usually one failed part, an airflow problem or a control that is sending the wrong signal. Fremont HVAC Masters repairs, maintains and installs heating and air conditioning in Fremont, Newark and Milpitas, and we treat the thermostat and controls as part of the system, not an afterthought.
Heating and air conditioning services
Most homes we visit have a gas furnace and central AC sharing one set of ducts. A growing number have a heat pump or ductless mini-splits instead. The work breaks down like this:
- Cooling. AC repair for systems that run without cooling, short-cycle or will not start, and AC installation sized to the house rather than to the old unit’s label.
- Heating. Furnace repair for ignition, flame-sensor, blower and safety-switch faults, and furnace installation when replacement makes more sense.
- Heat pumps. Heat pump repair and heat pump installation: one system that heats and cools, with inverter models that change speed to match the load.
- Ductless. Mini-split installation for additions, garages and rooms the ducts never reached, and mini-split repair for sensor, drain and communication faults.
- Air and ducts. Duct cleaning and indoor air quality work: filtration, ventilation and air-quality monitoring.
- Upkeep and urgent calls. HVAC maintenance before each season, and emergency HVAC service when the system fails outright.
We work on most major equipment brands. See the brands we service or the full list of services.
Smart controls that earn their place
A smart feature only helps when it is set up for the equipment it controls. That side of the job is our specialty: more than 12,000 smart home integrations, with more than 15 smart platforms supported.
- Smart thermostats. Correct wiring, including a C-wire for steady power, the right settings for heat pumps and two-stage equipment, and a link to the app or voice assistant you already use.
- Zoning. Motorized dampers, ductless heads or smart vents, so a sun-loaded upstairs bedroom and a cool downstairs den are not stuck on one setting, without starving the system of airflow.
- Inverter heat pumps and mini-splits. Variable-speed equipment runs longer at lower output, which keeps temperatures steadier, but it needs a control that can talk to it properly.
- Air-quality monitoring. Indoor sensors for particles, humidity or CO2 show when filtration or fresh air is actually needed.
Our smart home HVAC guides cover thermostat setup, voice control, zoning and energy monitoring step by step. The resource hub has quick references for thermostat wiring and zone control systems.
Fremont, Newark and Milpitas
Fremont sits at the south end of the East Bay. Summers are warmer and drier than near the bay to the north, with hot afternoons from June to September, and winter nights are chilly enough that furnaces and heat pumps run from November to March. Most systems here work hard in both seasons.
- Fremont: many 1950s–1980s tract homes with forced-air furnaces, central AC and ducts in the attic or crawlspace; newer homes and townhomes in Warm Springs and Ardenwood; hillside homes toward Mission San Jose with rooms that take the afternoon sun.
- Newark: mostly single-family homes of the same eras, with the same aging ductwork and furnace-and-AC pairs.
- Milpitas: many townhomes and condos with shared walls, compact mechanical closets and rooftop or side-yard condensers, plus single-family homes.
Our office is at 48501 Warm Springs Blvd in Fremont.
How a visit works
- Call or book online. Describe what the system is doing: the noise, the error code, the room that will not cool. Phone support is available 24/7.
- Diagnosis. The technician inspects and tests the system (airflow, electrical readings, gas and safety controls, thermostat wiring) before recommending anything.
- Upfront price. You see the price before any work begins, with no hidden fees. Evening and weekend visits are not billed at overtime rates.
- Repair. The work is done with factory certified parts and carries a 90-day workmanship warranty; parts follow the manufacturer’s warranty.
- Test. The system is run and checked before the technician leaves.
